Russell Heist

Senior Energy Manager

Manages energy contracts for 150+ public sector clients. Expert in market education, budgeting, and procurement strategy. Holds dual degrees in Energy Business and Economics.

Russell Heist joined Provident in 2020, where he began his professional career as a Junior Energy Analyst and quickly advanced to his current position as Senior Energy Manager.

In his role, Russ manages the electricity and natural gas accounts for 150+ public school districts, county governments, and municipalities. This includes facilitating client interactions and contract negotiations with suppliers, energy market education, and budgeting analysis to meet clients’ long and short-term goals.

Russell attended The Pennsylvania State University where he earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Energy Business and Finance and Economics. He was also a member of the Society for Energy Business and Finance.
